Petra Mzryk et Jean François Moriceau

(Magnesium-7-Hydrat salt crystal monochromes and collages) accompanied
by a sound piece. The audio work is a 25 episode long radio play,
written by Julien Bismuth and scored by Giancarlo Vulcano. Like a serial
radio play from the past, the work will be broadcast episode by episode
at 5 pm each day of the exhibition with reruns and music from the piece
being played for the remainder of the time according to a set schedule.
The visual works echo some of the structural and visual aspects of the
sound piece, such as the salt paintings that, like the play itself,
build and develop over time. Other elements include collages of notes
and drawings produced by the artist while composing both the text and
the visual works. Like a radio being turned on and off in a domestic
environment, the sound piece engages in a broken and one-sided
communication with its surrounding objects, intermittently activating
them with the sudden flash of an affinity, analogy, or metaphor.
